Founded in 1963 as the Oakland University Community Chorus, the Oakland Choral Society (OCS) became an independent 501(c)3 Nonprofit in 2003.

A member supported Classical Music choir features concerts in the Metro Detroit area

Under the direction of Noah Horn, the mission of the Oakland Choral Society is to provide educational enrichment for Oakland County and Metropolitan Detroit communities; to expand and enhance cultural experiences through dedication to the highest possible musical performance standards by presenting significant classical and contemporary choral works and to expose the listener to the finest choral literature in order to foster an appreciation of composers and singing.
