MusicTown Detroit is a Venue, Broadcast/Podcast and Recording Studio located on the second floor of the Hockeytown Cafe in Downtown Detroit. Opened by CBS Radio Detroit as a Downtown Studio for it's local stations (WOMC, WYCD, 987 AMP Radio, WWJ 950 and 97.1 The Ticket.) to broadcast weekly.

In addition to a Studio for Live Broadcasts and Podcasts. A state of the art Recording studio is available to for national, local, and student artists with enough space for a soloist or a small band or choir to fit and sound great! They are also able to record video of the performance on multiple cameras and send it out to social media should the artist choose. Free recording time at MusicTown is available for artists with original material.

A weekly Podcast hosted every Monday by Pam Rossi is "Behind the Mic" where she interviews local musicans See the Podcasts on YouTube

On Wednesdays is Open Mic Night every Wednesday from 7:30-10 p.m. Sign up to take the stage and show them your poetry, comedy, voice, music, dance, and spirit. Not sure if your material is ready? Come and watch! Admission is free.

Through a partnership between CBS Radio Detroit and Michigan State University, MusicTown hosts educational workshops, musical performances and lectures by MSU professors and musicians – much of which is free to the community.
