Low Key Sounds is an acoustic power trio, with music driven by a high energy and groovy spirit. Low Key Sounds was formed in 2014 with Beto Pelle on bass and vocals, Dave Watson on drums and percussion, Martin Chaparro on acoustic guitar and vocals.

The Band brings a fusion of different music styles including reggae, rock, funk, and blues. The band members are from Argentina and Detroit. Beto and Martin have been playing together for over 10 years in different bands in the Detroit area. Beto’s background in punk and reggae gives Low Key Sounds its unique punchy bass. Martin’s vocals and guitar skills bring some of the Latin flavor pushing the band’s unique style. Since it’s formation, Low Key Sounds has been playing at Cathay House, Cadieux Cafe, Nancy Whiskey's, Token Lounge, Pub Froggy's, Blue Goose Inn, Callahan's, and other local venues.

Martin Chaparro has been creating and playing music since age 14. He is originally from Argentina where he played with many bands. He plays many different music styles, including funk, blues, reggae, latin, heavy metal and rock. He is playing acoustic guitar and singing with Low Key Sounds and VYBRA‎.


David A. Watson

"Dave Watson a popular Detroit drummer/percussionist has played with lots of known singers and bands in the Southeast Michigan area. His percussionist-like style grooves with latin-based rhythms with an addition of classic rock beats in the mix for Low Key Sounds. Dave also is the drummer for Tosha Owens and The Stable Dudes and is the Percussionist for Monsieur Guillaume and His Zydeco Hepcats
