Kathleen Murray is a popular Blues/R&B Vocalist who in less than 10 years went from a stay-at-home mom who enjoyed karaoke to being one of the most recognizable R&B singers in the Metro Detroit area.

Kathleen had no formal training as a singer and didn't start performing until her husband Ron heard her sing karaoke. He pushed her into entertainment.

She is the lead Vocalist for The Groove Council, has her own band, Kathleen Murray Band. Soul Commission is a duet with her husband Ron and they perform classic soul, disco, pop and Motown.
Kathleen also has performed with saxophone legend and Silver Bullet member Alto Reed, former Grand Funk singer Mark Farner, Mitch Ryder and Blues legend Thornetta Davis

Kathleen Murray has earned Detroit Music Award nominations for Outstanding Blues/R&B Vocalist in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015
