Doug Coombe is an Ann Arbor and Detroit based music and editorial photographer. He moved from a longtime record store employee at Schoolkids records to photographer when he started to document the Detroit music scene in the early '90s. He started his photojournalism career with Orbit magazine and moved to the Metro Times in 1999. In addition to writing and photographing for Metro Times, Doug has photographed for Rolling Stone, SPIN, Mojo, The Wire, Billboard, Wax Poetics, NME, Mojo, Wax Poetics, The Wire, Sub Pop Records, Ghostly Records and Michigan Radio.

Doug is a photographer for Urban Innovation Exchange Detroit and started photographing for Concentrate Media in 2010 he is also a regular contributor to Concentrate Media's sister publications Metromode and Model D.
