The DR5 recreates the music of Detroit Rock radio's from the 1960's to 2000's, turned up to 11! These five seasoned Downriver musicians make up the ultimate Rock and Roll melting pot, brewing up rich vocal harmonies, dueling lead guitars, pocket heavy bass lines, and precision played percussion into every fun lovin' performance.
Lead Vocals, Guitar, Percussion
Scott comes off a long road of rocking and recording, with his indie - alternative rock band, Bedford Drive. They released 3 CD's, won the 89X "I'm With the Band" contest putting them on the bill of the 89X Birthday Bash at Detroit's State Theater, won the 89X People's Choice a few nights in a row, made two appearances in the national publication "Alternative Press", and performed in the Van's Warped Tour. Some of Scott's mainstream influences include Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Hey Mercedes, the Hives and Jimmy Eat World.
Lead Guitar, Vocals
Shane is a 20+ year veteran of the Detroit music scene performing in hard rock bands such as Drift, Blues Trip Psycho, and Planet Hate. Some of his influences include Prince, Jimi Hendrix, Queen and the Beatles. Shane is also a former Detroit nightclub entrepreneur, and is full blooded Lumbee Native American.

Mike has been building his guitar hero reputation throughout the Downriver Detroit Area for over 25 years playing countless shows. Among his former bands are the female fronted 7 Million Jigawatts, Mr. Happy, and his songwriting outlet, Mr. Knowitall, in which he released 2 CD's. In the 90s, he took 2nd place in the WRIF "Motor City's Best Guitarist" Competition, and 3rd place in Z-Rock's Joe Satriani "Joe Smokes" guitarist competition on national radio. His favorite inspirations are the Beatles, Rush, Van Halen, and Metallica. Mike is also a guitar instructor at A+R Music in Lincoln Park, and has taught for Axis Music Academy in Southfield and is a Detroit born Filipino American.
Bass Guitar, Vocals
Dave Hartman got his start at a young age, he has 25+ years of experience playing the Detroit Rock scene with his bands Harder Faster and also Mr. Knowitall. Along with his history on the stage, he has recorded 2 CD's with Mr. Knowitall. He cites Steely Dan, 311, Kiss and Beck as some of his influences. Dave is also a proud hardworking UAW member and proudly uses all American made instruments and amplifiers.
Paul has been the backbone and timekeeper for such bands as Metro Rhythm and Zest Junkies. His wildly precise drumming style can credited to (or blamed on) Metallica, Rush, Led Zeppelin and Iron Maiden. In his downtime from the DR5 and career work, he attends countless Detroit Lions, Tigers and Red Wings home games.
