Chris James

The youngest of four boys, all of whom played guitar, it was inevitable he would pick it up as well. As a child, his brother’s musical equipment was always off limits but that never stopped him. He had a love for music and a need to express it. From choir to school band to guitar at home he continually surrounded himself with music; always listening. However it wasn’t until adulthood he would finally embrace it fully and accept that it was part of who he is.

“While enjoying many musical styles progressive rock has always been my core influence as it encompasses elements of many styles. Drawn to music early in life starting in school band I was exposed to Beethoven, Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart and Chopin but the electric guitar opened the door to Led Zeppelin, Sabbath, Uriah Heep, Nugent, Deep Purple and later Journey, Kansas, Floyd, Yes, Toto, Rush.”

“A long time player in many cover bands in South East Michigan (two and three at at time) my duties include rhythm and lead guitar, lead and backing vocals. I’m always pushing for that next step. I truly consider myself a lucky person to perform with all these gifted musicians.”

Daniel Niewolak

When Daniel isn’t playing drums, guitar, or singing those Roger Waters vocal parts for In the Flesh, he’s lugging PA equipment around the Greater Detroit area doing sound for WYCD’s Nashville In The Neighborhood series, giving PA support for 98.7 AMP Radio live events, or running sound for local bands as one of Detroit’s most sought after sound men. He frequently does fill in gigs for other local bands, including Mad Rabbit, a metro Detroit cover band that creates a ‘live karaoke’ experience.

Fred Eppensteiner

A multi-instrumentalist, Fred had his first exposure to keyboards at age 5 via community education, and guitar at 13 via private instruction. For nearly 25 years, Fred has played originals and covers on stages throughout Metro Detroit on guitar, bass, keyboards, and lead vocals. As a composer, Fred has created works for Detroit-area video production houses.

“I just like to play music, and I like to keep learning. I love trading leads with Chris and being the third and fourth hands for Jonny. It’s challenging.”

Jonny Victor

Jonny grew up on a steady diet of late 70’s arena rock and everything 80’s, from new wave to hair bands… and loved every minute of it. He started playing keyboards at 15 and never stopped believin’ (on Journey’s advice), and has performed in a numerous original and cover bands all over lower MI since the late 90’s. Jonny’s also an accomplished stage, screen, and voice actor as well, and brings his high-energy showmanship to each and every performance. He’s pleased to be part of the ‘Cheese!

Steven Shade
