About

Started in Detroit as a folk country blues band (The Lost City Boys) in the mid 70's with influences such as, Peter Rowan, David Grisman, The Grateful Dead, The Band, Bob Dylan, The New Riders of the Purple Sage......... etc. As time moved on interests in Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, and Van Morrison helped broaden the bands style and arrangements and name. The Lost City Band has always enjoyed writing and performing their own music. Today the band enjoys time in their studio, writing, recording and sharing their friendship. In the few performances the band does each year, they play the songs that have helped shape their sound and to showcase their original music. Great friendship, good food, time in the Lost City Studio is the passion of this band.
