About

Leonardo – knows why so many people enjoy songs written during the 1920’s and 1930’s - the Golden Age of American songwriting. Specializing in solo, acoustic Country Blues, Leonardo slaps a fresh coat of paint on these rarely heard classics using open tunings on National Reso-Phonic guitars. With music influenced by Robert Johnson, Son House, Charley Patton, “Blind” Willie Johnson, and Skip James, Leonardo has toured with David “Honeyboy” Edwards, and is a member of The Detroit Blues Society. He also performs his Country Blues narrative which explains the story of the Blues.
