About

Emily Rose, born February 12th 1986, is a songwriter and native of Michigan. Her solo career began in the summer of 2005. Emily travels across the country on small scale solo tours when she is not performing locally around Detroit and caring for adorable rabbits.
Emily has received six Detroit Music Awards for her songwriting artistry. Outstanding Americana vocalist in 2018, Outstanding Americana songwriter in 2017, 2013, 2010, and 2009, and Outstanding Acoustic/folk artist in 2014. Songs from her 2011 release, Porchlight Tragical, are featured in the video game, Detroit:Become Human as well as the critically acclaimed film, Welcome to Happiness. She has written one book of poetry, Cemetery Tea Party, and is working on her second. Her next studio album is set to release in the summer of 2018.
