Detroit Punks is a documentary TV series launched in 2014. Ivan Suvanjieff Executive Producer of Detroit Punks has shot over 200 hours of footage setting up serial interview sessions since 1978 in order to shed light on what it is that makes the punk music scene in Detroit keep ticking, past and present. In his former life, Suvanjieff was known as Mark J. Norton, and was the voice of the short lived Ramrods August 1977/January 1978 and The 27. He was an associate editor for the legendary music rag CREEM in the 1970s and 1980s. Today Ivan Suvanjieff is president of The PeaceJam Foundation founded in 1996 by he and his wife Dawn Engle.
