DeAnna Weeden is influenced by great vocalists such as Sarah Vaughan, Abbey Lincoln and Phyllis Hyman. After hearing her sing, you too will discover that DeAnna Weeden has what it takes to be listed among the premier Jazz vocalists of this day and age.

It is evident when listening to her sing, that she carefully combines classic tunes that were written decades before she was born, with her own style, while managing to stay true to the original melody and form of the song. She finds great joy in bringing those standards to life, for the enjoyment of her guests. It is obvious through her interaction with the audience and her band, that singing is her first love.

Originally called the DeAnna Weeden Quintet, she change it to DeAnna Weeden and her Jazzy Gentlemen after her longtime Friend and Mentor Ben Pruitt, who was part of her Quintet passed away. She Also sang in Ben's Ben's Friends Jazz Orchestra for 19 Years.
