About

Thomas Magee's Sporting House is an old school sports and whiskey bar located in downtown Detroit's Eastern Market District on the Fisher Service Drive next to Michigan Artisans and across the freeway from the Eastern Market.

Thomas Magee’s Sporting House opened in November 2013 and focuses on whiskey, with a huge selection of over 100 different brands. It has already becoming a popular hangout for folks living in Lafayette Park, West Village, and Indian Village. The long, narrow layout of the room puts your close to the screens no matter where you sit to watch every sport, every game, every fight. In addition to Sports, Tuesdays's & Thursdays nights features live entertainment or DJ's and most Wednesdays there is Live Comedy. Weekends too have some form of entertainment if there is not a Big Game on.

Thomas Magee’s doesn’t have a kitchen but you can get a few snacks like Better Made chips, popcorn, and Germack products to munch while you enjoy your drinks. They also are pretty cool about bringing in your own food and if you wanted to order pizza from nearby Supino’s, they probably wouldn't mind.
