About

Paddywhacks is a neighborhood bar in Fraser. Eastsiders may remember the location. It was The Erin pub in the early 2000's and then Shelly Kelly’s Irish Pub. The new co-owners Walter Shepard and Jill Selman both have Irish roots but rather than use their heritage name, they hope to have a name that people would remember. The Paddywhack name was inspired by the children’s tune “This Old Man,” while the grocery aspect refers to food being served and grog is any of a variety of alcoholic beverages.

There’s karaoke on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Live Music on Friday & Saturday nights with bands performing classic rock, country and blues. A weathered upright piano is available for anyone who wants to play it and they've had people just quietly walk up to it and sit down and play something really nice.
