Mollywop! is a Detroit-based, genre-defying band led by Malik Yakini that plays hard-hitting original and classic funk, reggae, rock, hip-hop and more! The band features Aisha Ellis on drums, Ufuoma Akili on bass, Yakini on guitar and vocalists Ayodele Bakari, Simone Winter and Solar Liquid. Multi-instrumentalist/vocalist King Mellow Man, vocalists Isis Damil and Venus Sky and emcees GMAC, Money Wellz and S.I.R.I.U.S. often complete the band's line-up. Mollywop! will release an EP titled "Rebel Music" in June, 2017.
