Established in 1980 by Pipe Major William O'Donnell, Michigan Scottish Pipes and Drums is based in Troy, Michigan, with members from all over the Detroit metropolitan area. Currently under the direction of Pipe Major Mary Beth Nicholson, Michigan Scottish competes in grade 4 and grade 5 competitions and performs at many auxiliary events throughout the Midwest.

Michigan Scottish Pipes and Drums

Founded as a teaching band, their objective is to play better music through competition and rehearsal - while having a great time doing it. With teaching in their roots, they welcome new members.

Michigan Scottish Pipes and Drums performs for hire at events throughout the year. Recent appearances include Rod Stewart Concerts, University of Michigan and Adrian College ceremonies as well as events in Port Huron, Schwartz Creek, Canterbury Village and other venues.
