Mark has been playing professionally since the age of 13 years old, playing both Hammond organ and piano. Over the years, he has worked with many bands and is proficient in several genres of music. Since 1996, he has worked strictly as a jazz and blues artist, which has always been his first love. Mark can be seen at many jazz and blues clubs in the Detroit area, still playing the piano, Hammond organ and singing as well.

Mark has worked with such great artists as Chicago Pete, Johnnie Basset and Thornetta Davis. Mark can be heard on over 150 recordings, mostly as a studio musician. He released his own CD in 2015. It was nominated in 2016 for the following categories;Best Jazz Album, Outstanding Jazz Composer, and Best Jazz Musician. The album “Conflictionology” can be heard on jazz radio stations both domestic and internationally.

Mark is currently working with the following musical groups: The “C” Notes: This is a classic jazz trio playing great jazz standards. It features Mark at the piano and vocals, his longtime collaborator, Robert Conner on acoustic bass and Julian VanSlyke or David Marcaccio on drums.

The Bobby Murray Band: Bobby Murray was the guitarist for Etta James for 25 years. This band is rooted in rhythm and blues as well as soul music. This is a very high energy show band!

The Millionaires: Mark is one of two original members of this jump blues and jazz band, featuring one of the best horn and rhythm sections in Detroit. The band, started by Robert Conner, has been playing for over 25 years!

In The Paul Carey Organ Trio: Mark, is playing the Hammond organ.

Mark even has his own trio The Mark LoDuca Trio which can be seen at numerous venues around town.
