About
Longneck Strangler is not a country band, they don't sing about their trucks, they don't wear cowboy hats and they're not from the south or even pretending to be from the south.
Longneck Strangler is a genre-spanning fusion of classic country vocals and roots-deep rock and roll guitars all rolled into a head-turning live show. Longneck Strangler plays American music that draws from many sources – including blues and country - and that's what makes it rock and roll.
At their core, Longneck Strangler is the great American bar band. The name ‘Longneck Strangler’ is, in fact, a euphemism for drinking a beer and their logo even features the namesake bottle, such that when their posters first started appearing in the bars they played, patrons mistook them for ads for a new brand of ale!
