Krakus is a Polish Restaurant about five blocks north of the Hamtramck city line in Detroit on Joseph Campau.
When you walk into Krakus your thrown back to the 70s. It's like walking into your grandma's basement. Decor is dated, but really clean.
It serves Authentic Homemade Polish Food.
Agatha, the only waitress has a attitude to all. Stern is Agatha's style but you have to give a little to get a little and it's worth it. She shows a sense of humor after seeing you more as abnormal.
All the food is prepared from scratch by one woman, the Babcia who is the chief cook & bottle washer. You may even get a glimpse of her thru the small window between the dining area and kitchen and see her carefully preparing the food.
On Saturday, after the restaurant closes at 8 pm, Live music takes over the small stage in the adjoining room, playing host to "authentic Polish bands."
