About

The Dirty Basement Blues was a band hailing from the outskirts of the Motor City, Dirty Basement Blues was comprised of 5 guys who are as hard working and gritty as the town they represent. Formed in early 2012, DBB started turning heads from day one. Originally a trio, the band is comprised of founding members Mike Conley on drums, Bryan Miller on bass, and Joe Stanley on guitar. Shortly after forming, the group added prodigious voice of Frank Grimaldi and seasoned soul man, Pete Zajicek on keys. With the lineup in place, DBB began to hone their dynamic sound built on eclectic original material and high output live shows.

After winning the final round of the Detroit Blues Society "Blues Challenge" in 2013, DBB traveled to Memphis, TN to compete in the International Blues Challenge with over 200 bands from across the globe. The experience at the IBC lit a fire in their hearts and upon returning, they feverishly began working on their seminal debut album "Coming Clean" with producer and Detroit Blues legend, "Motor City" Josh Ford. In 2014 they released a new CD called Coming Clean. Dirty Basement Blues disbanded in 2016.
