A long time staple of the blues and improvisational music scenes in both Detroit and Chicago, Dave picked up his chops as a drummer and percussionist working with a long list of the solid solo artists and groups, including a stint as drummer and founding member of the jazz/blues fusion group, That Jive.

Dave started very young, jamming in his Grandparents basement with his mom on his Uncles drum set.
Dave jamming with his Mom circa August 1967
His professional career started in 1985 while still in High School when he started getting paid for playing gigs.

Today, Dave is a busy drummer playing with Low Key Sounds, Tosha Owens and The Stable Dudes, Monsieur Guillaume and His Zydeco Hepcats' Joe Stanley and the Facilitators, Rusty Reid Thang and the newest project, RJ's Soul & Blues Gang with RJ Spangler, he describes as just fun!
