Costas Village Bar
Costas Village Bar actually dates back to 1926 as the old Village Tavern in Wayne. As shown in city documents of the time.
The bar, renamed Costas Village Bar, is now owned by Costas Ciungan, the grandson of Gus (Costas) Roussakies. Gus became the owner of the Village in the 1950s and the family has owned it ever since.
Family pride is evident in the bar. On one wall, they have framed photographs, some of them black and white, which showcase the generations of the Roussakies and Ciungan families.
On the menu, one of their signature burgers is named after Gus Roussakies, while the Ciungan shrimp and fries meal is named after Costas Ciungan's other grandfather, the late Virgil Ciungan, who once owned the popular Ciungan’s Shrimp House in Ecorse.
Costas Village Bar offers entertainment with pool tables, dart boards, Michigan Lottery Keno or Pull Tabs, and big-screen TVs. Friday nights you may find Karaoke and Saturday's feature Live Bands!
