The Alligators who disbanded in 2018 after 34 years played the kind of music that Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf would have loved in there own unmistakable way. Founded in the 1980's by vocalist Dave Krammer and harmonica player Wailin’ Dale. After Steve Schwartz, long time guitarist and friend joined the band the Alligators released their first CD followed by 4 more & tracks on 3 compilations in a 10 year span.
Steve Schwartz passed away unexpectedly in 2011 followed by Wailin’ Dale in 2015. After the unexpected passing's Steve and Dale, the band in addition to vocalist Dave Krammer consisted of three very well respected musicians. Frankie Lee on bass, who joined in 2007. Jon Johnson on drums, joined in 2008 and Nick Tabarias, guitar, who joined in 2012 to fill Steve's shoes continued until March 13 2018, when Dave Karmmer posted this on The Alligators Detroit Facebook page.
